Overview
ChatGPT search (when web access is enabled) cites sources. Getting into those citations matters for any business whose customers use ChatGPT.
Two things to do
• Be indexed by Bing (set up Bing Webmaster Tools).
• Allow OpenAI's crawlers (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot) in robots.txt.
Content shape
Same as Perplexity: direct answer, JSON-LD, named-entity density. ChatGPT search prefers pages that read like reference material, not marketing copy.
