Methodology
Built on frameworks, not vibes
Most "AI readiness" quizzes are three sliders and a sales pitch. This one is built directly on the frameworks researchers, regulators, and Singapore's own government agencies use to assess AI readiness and governance — translated into questions a 5–50 person business can answer honestly in under five minutes.
- Data, Team and Process fit mirror McKinsey's AI Readiness Index (strategy, data, technology, organisation, capabilities) and MIT Project NANDA's 2025 finding that workflow and data fit — not model quality — is what separates the roughly 5% of AI pilots that deliver real returns from the 95% that don't.
- Governance & Risk is scored as its own dimension and weighted like McKinsey's data says leadership backing should be, following NIST's AI Risk Management Framework (Govern → Map → Measure → Manage), ISO/IEC 42001 — the first certifiable AI management-system standard — and Singapore's own Model AI Governance Framework and AI Verify testing framework from IMDA, the AI Verify Foundation, and the PDPC.
- Budget and urgency are measured separately, as engagement fit — not blended into your readiness number. A large budget doesn't make your data more structured or your governance more mature, and treating it like it does is how a real assessment turns into lead-gen theatre.
