What the Get Sales track covers

Get Sales covers everything between a lead and a signed quote: knowing where each lead stands, turning a call into a quote quickly, and following up before people go cold. Small businesses rarely lose deals on price. They lose them because the quote went out three days late or nobody followed up. Four recipes cover the track: a pipeline tidy-up, a quote from call notes, tender triage, and a follow-up sequence. Each runs in its own folder with Claude Code, and none of them sends anything on your behalf.

Recipe 1: Pipeline tidy-up

Export your leads and last month's notes, and ask for one row per lead with a stage, last contact, next step, date and owner. Then ask it to flag every lead with no contact in 30 days and draft a short nudge for each. The outputs are pipeline.csv and nudges.md. Read every nudge and send them yourself. If you're contacting people for marketing in Singapore, check the Do Not Call Registry rules for calls and text messages, and only contact people you have a basis to contact.

Recipe 2: A quote from call notes

Put the call notes, your price list, your standard terms and your quote template in one folder, and ask for a draft quote that uses only prices from the price list. The rule "no invented prices" goes in CLAUDE.md, so it applies to every run. 1. Ask for the scope in the client's own words, with what's in and what's out. 2. Ask for line items from the price list only. 3. Fill the template, taking the next number from your numbering file. 4. Draft the cover email. Check the prices, scope and number before it goes out. Keep one numbering file and never reuse a number. That single file is what stops two quotes carrying the same reference.

Recipe 3: Tender triage and a first draft

Give each tender its own folder, then ask for a one-screen summary per tender: what they want, the closing date, budget signals, the must-haves you don't meet, and a fit score. You pick the bids. For each one, Claude drafts a requirements register of every "shall" and "must", then a first-draft proposal in the tender's own section order. A person makes every bid decision and owns every claim. Never claim a credential you don't hold. Our tender bid workflow guide covers this recipe step by step, and the GeBIZ guide covers government bids.

Recipe 4: A follow-up sequence

After a call, ask for three short messages: a same-day thank-you with a recap, a useful nudge on day three, and a polite "should I close this off?" on day ten. Put the dates in your calendar so the sequence actually happens. Each message should be short and sound like you, so give the recipe your voice file. You send them. The value is that nobody you spoke to falls through the cracks because you were busy.

What stays with you

Pricing, scope and promises stay with a person. The recipes are built so AI can only reuse your own numbers and your own terms, and so every output is a draft. • Ask for *draft* emails, never sent ones. • Keep permission prompts on, so Claude Code asks before it edits files or runs commands. The permissions guide shows how. • Don't paste a client's confidential documents into tools you haven't checked. Keep them in the job folder on your machine.

Next steps

Start with the quote recipe if quotes keep you up at night, or the pipeline tidy-up if leads go quiet. Run it for two weeks, then add the follow-up sequence. Come and talk it through in person. Our year-end OTG Christmas Gathering is on Monday 28 December in Singapore: an evening of networking, dinner and a gift exchange with the people we've worked, learnt and built with this year. Bring the one job you'd most like to hand over, and we'll show you how we'd set it up. Register on Luma.
This guide is part of our series on running a small business with Claude Code as the harness. • Get Seen, Get Sales, Get Paid with Claude Code: the main guide: the three tracks and how a recipe works. • Get seen by AI, not just Google: a month of content in your voice, and a check on how ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity describe you. • Quote to invoice to paid: invoices copied from the accepted quote, polite payment chasing and a monthly receivables view. • A weekly Claude Code routine for a one-person company: how the three tracks fit into one week when you are the whole team.

Frequently asked questions

Can AI write quotations for my business?

AI can draft a quotation quickly from call notes if you give it your price list, terms and template, and tell it to use only those prices. It should never set prices itself. A person checks the scope, the amounts and the quote number before anything is sent to the client.

How do I stop AI from inventing prices in a quote?

Put your price list in the job folder and write a standing rule in CLAUDE.md: use only prices from this file, and flag anything not listed instead of estimating. Then check every line item against the list before sending. If a service isn't priced yet, decide the price yourself and add it.

How many times should I follow up after a sales call?

A simple pattern works for most small businesses: a thank-you with a recap on the same day, a useful nudge around day three, and a polite check on whether to close the conversation around day ten. Keep each message short, personal and easy to reply to.

Is it legal to send marketing messages to leads in Singapore?

It depends on consent and the channel. The PDPA governs how you collect and use personal data, and the Do Not Call provisions cover marketing calls and text messages to Singapore numbers. Only contact people you have a basis to contact, honour opt-outs, and check the DNC Registry where it applies.
