Founder & Director, On The Ground

Little U's Guest Speaker Series is a monthly career-guidance session for youths and their families — pitched at a level a 15-year-old can follow, but open to curious learners of any age. Each session pairs a 20-minute personal story with 40 minutes of audience Q&A, so guests leave with a real sense of what a career actually involves, not just the highlight reel.
Haojun shared his own path across three distinct chapters: starting as an educator and teacher, then leaving civil service to enter the social sector, and finally venturing into AI today with On The Ground. Throughout this journey, he's navigated the challenges of being neurodivergent — openly discussing how that shapes how he works, thinks, and builds, and being honest about still figuring it out.
The core throughline across all three chapters is the same — a focus on getting things actually working on the ground, understanding systems deeply, and using that insight to build practical solutions. The barrier to building with technology isn't technical, it's psychological. Once people realise they can build, everything changes — including how they think about a public-service, education, social-impact, or builder career path.
The session was held on 4 July 2026, Saturday, 10–11am SGT, on Zoom.
